Board Role-Playing Game Feature – Blades in the Dark
We’re shaking things up! All April I’m going to be talking about some of the RPGS we carry! Blade in the Dark is one of my favourite RPGs, and definitely the most fun I’ve had with an RPG in the past 5 years or so. It’s heists! In Fantasy London! With ghosts and demons! The game beautifully capture the Heist Movie Moment where everything seems to be going all wrong, but it turns out the heroes planned this the whoooooole time. A handful of times per heist, you can decide that your character actually planned for This Specific Problem the whole time, and made retroactively decide that you did, in fact bring a grappling hook to climb the massive wall.
The game is so much fun, it can be as dark and gritty or silly and light as your group makes it. Cuz who doesn’t want to be part of an elaborate heist?
