Bookstore Features – New Releases!

Board Game Feature – Avatar: Aang’s Destiny
Full disclosure, I also really love the Avatar tv series
I just got a copy of this for Christmas and it’s soooooooo good. So good. 2-4 players work together to build decks of characters, items, and bending actions from the show to defeat the Fire Nation. The game is divided into 7 boxes of increasing complexity, so if you’ve never played a deck-builder before it’s a great place to start, and if you’re an old pro you can probably skip to box 3 or 4.
The co-op nature of the game and the excellent theme make it ideal for families with young kids (probably 8+) to explore deck building, teamwork, math and strategy. It’s also just real fun and the randomness of card draw can make for genuinely challenging games.
Cafe Feature – Christmas Lattes
If you’re not quite ready to leave Christmas behind, we’ve got you covered. We’ve still got our delicious peppermint mocha and white chocolate gingerbread lattes available, but not for long! Come in today before they’re gone for the season!
